Mona Derentz DDS, MSD
Dr. Mona Derentz is a Board Certified Orthodontist, a specialist who completed 2-3 years of extensive residency training followed by board certification examinations in the specialty of orthodontics and dento-facial orthopedics. Only 30% of practicing orthodontists achieve full Board Certification. She is an expert in straightening teeth and correcting bites. She was born and raised in Thousand Oaks, CA in a trilingual home (speaking Farsi, Armenian and English).
She received both her doctorate of dental surgery (DDS) and undergraduate degrees- both with Honors from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She then completed orthodontics residency at one of the leading programs in the country, The University of the Pacific (UOP); where she also achieved a Masters of Science in Dentistry simultaneously. While at UOP, she gained experience treating even the most difficult cases with Invisalign, as UOP is the top Invisalign program in the country.
Besides creating beautiful smiles, Dr.Derentz’s time spent away from the practice is filled with her husband and baby daughter, as well as spending time with her large extended family and friends. She enjoys taking day trips around LA as well as playing tennis and pilates- when she gets the chance!
