Dr. Mona Derentz is a Board-Certified Orthodontist with advanced training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. After completing 2-3 years of intensive residency, she passed rigorous board certification exams—an achievement earned by only 30% of orthodontists. She specializes in straightening teeth and correcting bite issues.
Born and raised in Thousand Oaks, CA, Dr. Derentz grew up in a multilingual home, speaking Farsi, Armenian, and English. She earned both her undergraduate degree and Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) with Honors from UCLA. She then completed her orthodontic residency at the prestigious University of the Pacific (UOP), where she also earned a Master of Science in Dentistry.
