We are one of the first offices in the San Fernando Valley to utilize 3D imaging for our orthodontic patients. 3D imaging, also known as cone beam scans, are the state of the art method to analyze the teeth and jaws in all dimensions. We are no longer limited to viewing a patient’s jaws and teeth in 2D flat images, where many things can be missed!
Our modern cone beam machine’s radiation exposure is incredibly low, equivalent to taking an airline flight from Los Angeles to New York! Yet it delivers significantly more information than a traditional 2D panoramic x-ray can.
3D cone beam scans deliver an exact representation of the patient, so 1:1 accurate measurements can be made; unlike traditional 2D x-rays which are susceptible to distortion and magnification which make precise measurements impossible.
WIth 3D imaging we are able to assess the airway in all dimensions. WIth this information we can analyze if the airway is narrow or if it is being blocked by the tonsils. Narrow, obstructed airways are associated with sleep and breathing issues. Research has shown that sleep-disordered breathing and obstructive sleep disorders are associated with ADD, ADHD, behavioral problems, excessive daytime sleepiness, bed wetting, hyperactivity, chronic sinus infections and more.
We believe everyone deserves the best care so we offer complimentary 3D cone beam scans to every orthodontic patient at their first visit, and throughout treatment as necessary. We strive to offer the very best, most modern orthodontic care with a holistic approach that diagnoses not just the teeth but the whole face, jaw and airway structures.

With the iTero Digital Scanner, we are able to take molds of your teeth- without any gross goopy impressions! It is also the most accurate way to make a replica or mold of the teeth for either braces or hidden lingual braces or Invisalign.
We can also instantly show you a simulation of what your teeth will look like at the end of treatment- perfect and straight!
